Customer Service Representatives:
Heather Martin
Heather started at the hospital in 2009 and quickly came to love her job. She is the definition of a people person, enjoying
the interactions with both the clients and other staff, and her cheery disposition brightens
the front desk. Heather and her husband have a soccer-playing son and a cocker spaniel named Patches.
Darlene Hatter
Clients love Darlene's upbeat attitude and her compassion for animals,
while the staff continually tease her for singing and dancing behind the reception desk. Darlene is very outgoing and enjoys interacting with
clients and their pets. She has three cats and one dog of her own, as well as one son and one daughter.
Emily Wilson, BA, BEd
Emily lives in Waverley and has two cats, Lola and Rocco. She has been a client at Cobequid Animal Hospital since
adopting her cats here, and she is delighted to be working here and helping with your pets. Emily is also a substitute teacher new to the school
system. She especially appreciates the bond we share with our four-legged family members.
Michelle Hatter
Michelle works with us part time while attending Acadia University. It is obvious that there is no other place she would rather spend her spare time.
She and her boyfriend have recently adopted a degu and a kitten adopting a pet from our facility seems to be some form of staff initiation!
Michelle appreciates that a pet becomes a huge part of the family and values the connection we share with them.
Erin Genneaux
Erin began working with us in October 2010 and it is quite obvious that she loves her job. Erin lives in Sackville with her husband and her two dearly-loved
"fur babies" Lucy and Toby (one is a cocker spaniel and the other is a beagle). We are so happy to have her on our team and we hope she stays here
forever!
Office Administrator:
Grace Herdman
After working for many years in the human medical field, Grace decided that four-legged patients were more fun.
She took a veterinary assistant course and has never looked back. With several years experience as
a veterinary practice receptionist and veterinary assistant already under her belt, Grace has found her way to the position of
office administrator at Cobequid Animal Hospital. Her
training and experience also permit her to help the veterinarians and technicians in the lab and treatment areas during
busy periods. Besides sharing her home with a two-legged individual, Grace has two dogs and five cats.
Practice Manager:
Jacqueline Bawden, BA
Jacqueline volunteered at the hospital for a year before we finally had the sense to hire her full-time. She quickly showed aptitude for technician's work
and eagerly dove into learning all she could.
In addition to her current responsibilities for the overall management of the hospital and practice, Jacqueline has a passion for assisting the
adoptees and dedicates a lot of her time aiding in the control of pet overpopulation.
She would love to see the discovery of a new way to aid in the control of pet overpopulation. Jacqueline lives with her wonderful family and more dogs and cats than are found on the average street.
